Los Angeles-based attorney Kirk Chamberlin remembers exactly where he was and what he was doing when he came up with the original concept for Crayonball™. "I was sitting in a restaurant watching small children trying to color with stick crayons, breaking them, and then getting frustrated and throwing them," he says laughing. "Having six children myself, I could empathize with both the parents and the children." 

Kirk immediately came up with the idea to make crayons in shapes that would be easy to hold and extremely durable. "I went home, melted stick crayons, and made the first Crayonball™ prototype by using the inside of a racquetball as the mold."
